Corona Arch is located along UT-279 which follows the Colorado River through a narrow gorge. The trail is a mile and a half long and of moderate difficulty – there is a ladder and some cables to help out at the steeper sections. The arch which has a 140-foot by 105-foot opening is often called “Little Rainbow Bridge,” due to its resemblance to that more famous formation. It is one of the better free hikes in the Moab area and the drive along UT-279 is spectacular. There are a few petroglyph panels on the north side of the road a few miles from the US-191 turn-off.
